Every tool in this category can hold a contract and remind somebody about a date. The question worth asking is where that date came from: read out of the document, or typed into a field and trusted forever.
What ContractSafe is
ContractSafe is a contract repository with search, OCR and reminders, sold by contract volume. The three plans are named Organize, Finalize and Maximize.

What ClauseWatch is
ClauseWatch watches the dates in contracts you already have. You upload them; it reads them.
- It locates the term end, the notice period, the auto-renewal clause, the effective date and any price uplift, and keeps the paragraph and page number each one was read from.
- It re-reads every watched contract every night against that night's date, and hands you a morning queue of the ones that crossed a line.
- When it cannot locate a date, it reports that with the reason instead of estimating one. A wrong renewal date is worse than no renewal date, because you would act on it.
- Nothing goes out without your approval, and an approved notice still sits behind a 90-second kill window with a Kill button on it.
- Standard is $5/month flat: no contract-volume band, no per-seat ladder.
Choose ContractSafe if
- You want full-text search and OCR across a large archive as the primary job.
- You are comfortable with a price that scales with how many contracts you hold.
- You want a dedicated customer success manager as part of the package.
Choose ClauseWatch if
- The drawer you are worried about is the big one, and pricing by contract volume charges you most exactly where the risk is.
- You want the renewal dates watched nightly, not a searchable archive you still have to remember to search.
- You want the misses named. An archive that silently has no date for a contract reads the same as one with nothing due.
Moving off ContractSafe
ContractSafe prices by how many contracts you hold, so the contracts themselves are the thing to move, and its own page is the source for what that migration involves since ClauseWatch does not run one. ClauseWatch instead asks for the folder as it is: drag the PDFs in and it reads them that night, with no volume band to renegotiate as the folder grows.
Questions
Why does ClauseWatch not price by contract volume? Because the incentive is backwards. The folder that most needs watching is the one with the most contracts in it, and a per-volume price asks you to pay most for the risk you most need covered. ClauseWatch Standard is $5/month whatever is in it.
Does ClauseWatch do OCR on scans? No. A scan with no text layer is reported as not found with that reason, for every clause on it, rather than guessed at. That is a deliberate line: an OCR misread produces a plausible wrong date, which is the one defect this product refuses to ship.
